Your managers and your #accommodations process are undermining your team’s effectiveness
Your managers and your #accommodations process are undermining your team’s effectiveness.
We already know the two key truths:
👩💼 Managers have a bigger impact on employee wellbeing than doctors or therapists.
📈 High-performing teams are built on how people work together, especially psychological safety.

HRPA & The Legal Duty to Accommodate
⚖️ What is the duty to accommodate in practice?
Most organizations think they understand the legal duty to accommodate.
They understand it to be the obligation to provide an #accommodation to an employee with a #disability when an employee asks for it.
They see it living with #HR and an insurance company.

March: A Month of Awareness!
There seems to be a month and day for everything! I enjoy seeing all of the different holidays, awareness days, and observances in my calendar, they are often unfamiliar and provoke a bit of research.
March in particular is carrying a lot.
It is #NationalDevelopmentalDisabilitiesAwarenessMonth, #DeafHistoryMonth, #BisexualHealthAwarenessMonth, and #WomensHistoryMonth.
Today is #Dyscalculia Awareness Day.
Sunday marked the #Disability Day of Mourning
