We respect your privacy. Like, a lot. This policy explains how The Low Achiever collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information. We're based in Canada and follow the rules set out in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. What Personal Info We Collect

We only collect what we need to do our work well. That may include:

  • Your name and email (when you contact us, sign up for a newsletter, or book a session)

  • Payment details (processed through secure third-party providers)

  • Information you voluntarily share in coaching sessions, forms, or surveys

  • Website usage data (like your IP address or what pages you click on)

We do not collect sensitive data without your consent, and we never creep your DMs.

2. Why We Collect It

We collect your info to:

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule sessions

  • Provide coaching, consulting, or education services

  • Send updates, blogs, or marketing emails (if you opt-in)

  • Analyze website traffic and improve the experience

We don’t sell your data. Ever. Not our thing.

3. Consent & Control

We believe in meaningful consent. You’re in charge of your data:

  • You can opt in or out of marketing emails anytime

  • You can ask what data we have about you, and we’ll show you

  • You can ask us to correct or delete it, and we’ll do it unless we’re legally required to keep it

4. How We Store & Protect Your Info

Your info lives on secure, encrypted platforms we trust—like Wix, Google Workspace, and [any other tools you use, e.g. Calendly, Stripe, Notion, etc.]. We use secure passwords, two-factor authentication, and good ol’ common sense.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose and legal obligations.

5. Sharing Your Info

We don’t share your info with third parties except:

  • With your explicit consent

  • With service providers we use to run our biz (like email tools or payment processors), and only what they need to do their job

  • If legally required (e.g., court order)

No spammy ads, no creepy tracking. We’re not in that business.

6. Cookies & Analytics

This site uses cookies (the digital kind, not the chocolate chip kind):

  • To track basic visitor stats (via tools like Google Analytics)

  • To make sure the site runs smoothly

You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer not to be tracked.

7. Email Marketing

If you sign up for our newsletter, Substack, or blog updates, we’ll only send you the good stuff. You can unsubscribe anytime with one click. No hard feelings.

8. Third-Party Links

Sometimes we link to other cool folks, but we can’t control their sites. Check their privacy policies if you click away from ours.

9. Your Rights (Canadian Edition)

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal info

  • Know how it’s used

  • Correct errors

  • Withdraw consent

  • Complain to the Privacy Commissioner if you think we’ve messed up (but we really hope you talk to us first)
