LinkedIn Post #8 - Does it sometimes feel like there's something wrong with you? - August 15 2023

🤕 Does it sometimes feel like there’s something wrong with you? Like maybe you’re broken or should be different? Maybe you wish you could be more like someone else?

One time I was cuddling my dog, Joey (it was more like intense fawning with kissing and squeezing, but that’s not the point) and I said to him “I love you because you are perfect.”

Then my partner said, “Well, we’d love him even if he wasn’t perfect.”

I responded, “That’s not even possible. He’s perfect no matter what. Just by existing, he’s perfect.” ❤️

This might just sound like I’m obsessed with my dog, which I am, but I do have a larger point to make here.

I believe this about every single human being on the planet. Even you.

I might not use the word perfect, but that’s semantics.

💯 There’s nothing intrinsically wrong with you.

You might not be exactly where you want to be. You might not be feeling exactly how you want to be feeling. You might not be doing exactly what you want to be doing. Your body or mind might not be like other peoples'.

But,

You’re not broken.

You’re not a mistake.

You’re not a fraud.

You’re not weak.

🤗 You're whole. You're awesome. It's awesome you're here.

No matter what. Full stop. Every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Just like Joey. 🐶
